Minecraft Lan Game Not Showing Up Mac
Have you ever tried to host a LAN game in minecraft 1.8.4 with your friends at your house and it does not work, well then you have come to the right place. Today I will show you how to fix that problem.
First what you want to do is open your computer's command prompt. The easiest way to do this is by searching 'cmd' on your computer.
After you have opened you command prompt you want to put in 'ipconfig'. This will open up a lot of adapters and wifi ips.
Find 'Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi:'. Under that their will be an IPv4 address, copy it into the other computer's direct connect.
Now open a world and put it in LAN. It will show a port number.
Copy the port into the direct connect, it will look like a normal ip for a server.
Like this: 198.72.14.21:92732 (JUST AN EXAMPLE)
I hope this was useful to you, it was for me when I couldn't get LAN in 1.8.4 to work. I know this is not a very know problem, but I hope it helps everyone who has the problem on PMC. I really appreciate you checking out my tutorial and I hope it helps everyone. Thanks a lot.
